“Yana” is the latest work of Turkish kaval [traditional flute of Anatolia and Balkans] virtuoso Batuhan Aydın and the world-famous electronic music producer Ivan Shopov from Bulgaria. The single released on July 1st (Etheraudio Records).
The song will be packed with surprises; you will first of all feel the mystical effect of electronic music and the kaval. The song also features a fascinating Bulgarian women's choir, one of the most important elements of Bulgarian folk music culture, and the impressive, oriental sounds of the Oud. Bisera Ivanova and Lidia Angelova [Bisera & Lidia] accompanied with their charming voices, Selim Boyacı recorded the oud tracks.
The kaval recordings and kaval mixing were done by Ozan Sarıboğa in Istanbul and mastering by Ivan Shopov himself in Bulgaria.
